Its role is to advance business management practices in response to the latest global challenges. An institute is comprised of a number of chairs on the basis of a specific sector or function.

Chairs & Institutes

Since 1986, ESSEC has created a number of Chairs of Teaching and Research, supported by over 70 companies. In particular, chairs allow students to pursue a special track in the area of their choice that combines theory (through academic courses) and practice (through the close partnerships with the Chair’s corporate sponsors).

The centers of excellence are present along the entire academic value chain – from research to engagement in public debate, via undergraduate, graduate and executive education. They offer strategies for understanding future challenges, and guide reflection and the development of partnerships.
